This is what I get for not tracking my schedule more closely...
On the 27th of February - yes, less than two weeks from now - I will be participating in a panel discussion from the Web Content Mavens group in downtown DC.
Here are the details:
Today there exists many viable open source web content management systems. The February Web Content Mavens meeting will examine some of important issues (licensing, documentation, training, support, community, scalability, customizability) surrounding the most popular projects (Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, TextPattern, Alfresco & Magnolia).
The discussion will be moderated by Scott Mendenhall (SVP, Technology at IXI Corporation) and will feature the following panelists:
Keith Casey from CaseySoftware on Drupal
Antonio Chagoury from SMBLive on DotNetNuke
Scott Davis from Alfresco on Alfresco WCM
Boris Kraft from Magnolia on Magnolia
Joe LeBlanc on Joomla!
Martin Ringlein from nclud on WordPress and TextPattern
If you're interested in joining the discussion, meeting me, or generally mocking those other guys for their CMS choices, be sure to sign up on Meetup. And if you have any particular questions that you'd like addresed, let one of us know.
At the time of this writing, there are only 25 seats left...
