The ZendCon UnCon selections are still underway.. .the fourth batch of presentations have been finalized. This week has been fast and furious for the final sessions working out.. it's amazing how many people were waiting until the last minute.

First, we have Ed Finkler - the creator of the cross-platform Spaz Twitter client in attendance to talk about his experience with Adobe AIR in creating Spaz.  While not strictly a PHP talk, desktop applications and integrations are appearing more frequently and are often the end points of the API's we create.  Come see the other side of the coin a learn some tips and tricks... or share your own.

Next, we have Ben Ramsey moderating a very special panel on PHP Developers' Groups.  Every so often conferences bring some of the best and brightest people together from all over the world.  They get together, trade ideas, and then head home to the regular groups.  What if the various leaders and organizers within the groups got together, talked about what their groups were doing, and what was/wasn't working?  What if we were able to steal share ideas from the other groups and better connect people up?  I think the DCPHP Developers' Group would benefit... how about yours?

Finally, last but not least, we have some great people - Jason Austin and Garrison Locke from North Carolina State University - running a panel discussion on "Development Practices Meet the Real World".  Because here's the thing about these conferences.  You see these amazing ideas and concepts thrown around but in the back of your mind there's that thought of "my boss will never allow that!"  These guys have been there and done that.  They've fought the same battles.  They won some and they lost some... and their entire panel will share the results and key points.  Don't miss it!
